Ibis Saint Dizier Hotel - Saint-Dizier

This one had me thinking.

Continuing our journey, we found this lovely hotel where we could unwind. The rooms were impressively clean with comfy beds, and the breakfast was a good mix of cooked and continental options. Plus, the surrounding grounds proved to be perfect for our dog to run around. A perfect stop on our travels!

Hotel overlooked street and the room was new-fashioned. The staff were fairly friendly, and I enjoyed the location, it was peaceful and excellent away from a huge supermarket. Everything met needs well, had a nice stay for one night.

Overall it was cheap with working ac.

The breakfast spread was a good mix, and I savored an English breakfast that warmed my soul. The staff were super cute.

Finding the place was a bit of a treasure hunt in the dark with rain pouring down, and the bathroom setup had its quirks-like a low toilet not ideal for older guests. Still, it all added to the charm!

Appreciated the modern tv and efficient heating , especially since it got a bit chilly at night. The breakfast buffet offered a decent variety, with tasty croissants and fresh fruit to start the day. I found the dining options somewhat limited in the vicinity, especially when the restaurant next door was closed. After a long drive, I didn't want to venture far for food. The overall check-in process was smooth, which I really appreciated after my travels. A minor downside was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. A small touch that would've enhanced convenience. Nonetheless, the adequate parking made it easy to unload luggage and explore the area.

The room was clean and equipped adequately for what I needed. The parking space was ample as I pleased. I appreciated the quick check-in and check-out process, easy after a long day on the road.

The room size left much to be desired. I found myself navigating tight spaces and nearly bumping into the TV while moving toward the window. The decor felt really dated, and there were traces of poor cleaning practices. Some corners looked untouched. It was quite hard to locate, especially at night with a downpour. The approach road was not clearly marked, made for a frustrating arrival. To top it off, noise from the nearby industrial strip was a constant reminder that I wasn't exactly in the center of tranquility here.

The highlight was the hearty breakfast, with popular baguettes, although the limited restaurant menu might leave you craving more options after a few days. Some noise from nearby planes during early morning hours disrupted complete tranquility. The restaurant's limited dining hours could be a downside if you prefer late meals.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the cozy bed and the fabulous hot shower after a long day on the road. With a lovely outdoor space for my dog to romp around and cozy seating areas perfect for unwinding, it made for a great stay. The only downside was the limited dining options in the area, but the in-house restaurant had some delicious choices. 🐶
